My name is Ghabeebu-rahmaan Adams, and I will be your counsellor. My life as a counsellor began from my first year of university. At the time I was in a space where I had thought my future was set and I would follow the path I had taken. Thinking pursuing an engineering degree would best suit me. My mind shifted midway through my qualification, “this does not sit well with me”, were my thoughts at the time. My direction in life at the time felt as though it had little to no meaning. I switched courses to a bachelor’s in arts in the hope that I would find a better purpose. Low and behold the field of psychology opened to me

Counselling can be very helpful in dealing with problems experienced by a person/s who has gone through some sort of physical, mental or emotional trauma. While it may be difficult for the person to open up fully, this is something that comes with having multiple counselling sessions.
03ABUSE
Abuse victims will immensely benefit from counselling, while it may be a difficult subject to speak about, as the sessions go on you will find that the sessions are offering you the guidance and relief you require. Counselling can also help you identify the cycle of violence as well, which can help an abuse victim either leave or understand more on what they need to do to ensure they have all the help they require.
